International Poster Biennial in Mexico
The civil association Trama Visual and the Franz Meyer Museum
presented the 11th International Posters Biennial in Mexico, which
in this edition, besides having guest countries such as Spain and Russia, will
call for designers from around the world to reflect on the concept of
"Liberty."
This will be the first time that this encounter takes place in
the city of Puebla.
The date is programmed for October of 2010.
The objective of this contest, which will have the participation of the
National Board for Culture and the Arts (Conaculta) and other public and
private institutions, is to strengthen the artistic presence of Mexico in the
world as the celebrations of the country?s 200th Independence
Anniversary and 100th Revolution Anniversary come around.
For Mexico,
the year 2010 will be a year of opportunities to gather the most famous designers
from around the world to contribute to the design of posters and reflect on the
most profound motive of all independences or revolutions: "Liberty."
The first prize winner will receive $3,500 dollars, a gold medal
and diploma; the second prize winner will receive a silver medal and diploma,
and the third a bronze medal and diploma.
Also, the jury will give the "Carlos Lozano" prize (gold medal and
