Grand
debut in Guadalajara
Yesterday, at Casa Jalisco the Canyon project, Museum of Modern
and Contemporary Guadalajara, was presented.
The program for this museum looks for collaborations from
contemporary artists to create new works and will also ask for the
participation of renowned artists, contributing significantly to Guadalajara?s
potential as a cultural destination.
The Museum of Guadalajara will be a 10 thousand square meters
structure located in a privileged place in the capital of Jalisco, on Lookout
Park (Parque Mirador), on one side of the Huentitan Canyon, in the northeastern
area of the city.
This is a tripartite project with contributions from the Civil
Cultural Guadalajara Capital Association (Asociación Civil Cultural Capital Guadalajara),
Guadalajara City Council and the Government of Jalisco to provide the resources
for the construction of this museum, whose completion is planned for September
2012.
