México
will have a pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo
With a budget of $20 million dollars and the construction of a
pavilion, Mexico gives great importance to the Shanghai World Expo 2010, an
event that Mexico will utilize to increase Chinese investment in its territory.
The pavilion?s general coordinator, Eduardo Seldner, visiting in
China, explained that the objective, besides showing the public the best of
Mexico?s history and culture, is to attract investment and create businesses.
He said that Mexico is particularly interested in the investment
of Chinese companies and that for this goal the Mexican pavilion will have a
business center in which encounters between both nations will be organized with
the collaboration of entities such as the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China
(Mexcham).
Approximately $8 to $9 million dollars will be invested in the
construction of the Mexican pavilion, which will have 43,055 square feet and
will be divided into six spaces: an area of exposition, a business center, an
area for multiple uses, a module for tourism promotion, a store and a
restaurant.
