Michoacan´s most famous dessert has its own festival, the "Chongo Zamorano Fair" which will take place from December 11th to the 13th in Zamora, Michoacan.

 

Although it is believed that it was created through an "accident", this dessert made out of milk has already crossed borders and has brought fame to the city of Zamora, a place that has become known for being a great producer of fruits and vegetables and has attractions such as the temple of San Francisco, the old cathedral's unfinished church of the Purisima and the Calvary Church.

 

As every year the event will be hosted at the Main Plaza and the various cultural centers of Zamora, various venues will host national and international art and cultural exhibitions, folk dancing, regional dances, different genres music concerts, conferences, and chongos tastings.
