Puebla
to have braile system for tourists
Puebla?s National Tourist Confederation signed a treaty with
state & municipal authorities as well as with the Braille Contact
organization with the purpose that tourist service providers such as
restaurants, hotels, museums, commercial zones and others integrate braile
materials so these can be more accesible.
During this ceremony, the state?s Minister of Tourism, Juan Jose
Breton Avalos, referred that some aspects have been forgotten such as
infrastructure for people with dissabilities. He also proposed to take up the
General Tourism Law and have hotels carry it out by having 10% of their hotel
rooms accessible for people with different capacities because it?s time to take
it up once more.
He also took the time to remind those present that a touristic
inventory of Puebla?s establishments will be presented during December in the
matter of infrastructure and the services they offer to the public in general,
including people with dissabilities.
He pointed out that in Mexico City has advanced in this matter
and expects Puebla, with this treaty, to have important achievements to benefit
people with different capacities.
