Taxco: a new brandname in tourism

 

With the objective of reinforcing touristic activities and increasing its? visitor flow, Taxco de Alarcon and the Mexico Tourism Board have presented the new brandname, Taxco, which will be accompanied by the slogan "Mexico?s Jewel" which flaunts the Santa Prisca Parrish as it?s image that, from now on, will differenciate the touristic offer of this part of the state of Guerrero.

 

Despite being just a few hours from one of the most popular touristic sites of the country, Acapulco, Taxco has detected the need to start selfpromoting as an independent destiny and with a touristic offer of its own in order to not only be perceived as an addition to other destinations.

 

Among the attractive sites that can be visited here are the vast natural sceneries with which the communities near Taxco such as Acuitlapan, Atzala, Huixtac, and the Chontalcoatlán & Copalillo ejidos. All of these places where you can find caves, subterranean rivers, waterfalls and streams offer activities such as rappel, horseback riding and flora & fauna observation.

 

As part of the new tools that will help consolidate this newly born namebrand, the project "Passport, an adventure in silver" which is a discount sheet that will be able to be used in businesses near Taxco such as the Caves of Cacahuamilpa, Zoofari Zoo and 40 other service providers in the area.
