The
Bicentennial Arch begins construction
In December the construction for the Bicentennial Arch will
begin announced Jose Manuel Villalpando, coordinator of the Bicentennial
Federal Commission of Independence and of the Centennial Revolution.
The government representative explained that the grand quartz
tower, which will measure more than 341 feet in height, will be placed in the
Paseo of the Reforma, which is now in the final stages of the executive project
development.
The Mexican architect Cesar Perez Becerril is in charge of the
project, whose final destination will be determined by the Health Secretary and
the Ariel Park, close to Avenida Paseo of the Refoma.
According to the coordinator of these historical gestures,
during this month and through Christmas Eve, there will be a series of
activities throughout different areas of the country to honor the celebrations
for next year.
